Vasilis Gregoriou Ph.D. – Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Gregoriou is a co-founder of Advent. He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Duke University and has been a Principal Researcher at ICEHT-FORTH. Prior to this and for seven years he was a Senior Scientist at Polaroid Corporation's Research Division in Boston, MA. Dr. Gregoriou has more than 15 years of experience in the US market. He has extensive experience in the technical development of new products and in the management of such activities.  He has attended the MBA program at Northeastern University. 


Joannis Kallitsis Ph.D. – Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Kallitsis is a co-founder of Advent. He is a Professor of Polymer Science in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Patras. He holds a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Patras and he has conducted post-doctoral research at the Max-Planck Institute for Polymer Research at Mainz, Germany and BASF Corporation.


Stylianos Neophytides Ph.D. – Director of Research
Dr. Neophytides is a co-founder of Advent. He is also a Director of Research at FORTH-ICEHT. His research interests lie in the area of heterogeneous catalysis, applications of FTIR and X-ray spectroscopies in catalysis and electrocatalysis, electrochemistry, PEM and Solid Oxide fuel cells.


Rick Daniels – Advent Technologies North America Inc. CEO
Rick was most recently the Founder of MultiLayer Coating Technologies LLC, a spin out from Polaroid Corporation he raised private equity to form. Prior to this, Rick was VP of Strategy and Development for the post-bankrupt Polaroid Corporation, where he was responsible for acquisition analysis and alliance and partnering strategy. Rick was VP of Venture Development at Commonwealth Energy during the energy deregulation in Massachusetts. Rick began his career with a series of domestic and international general management, finance, marketing, intrapreneurial, and corporate development positions at Rohm and Haas Company, a Fortune 500 specialty chemical/advanced materials company. Rick holds a Bachelor in Engineering Science (Electrical) from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth
