BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Chris Kaskavelis Ph.D. – Chairman of the Board
Dr. Kaskavelis is a co-founder of Velti (AIM symbol VEL) and, as COO of the world’s biggest mobile marketing company, oversees all operations, project delivery groups, as well as the continuing development of Velti’s platforms. Previous to joining Velti, Dr. Kaskavelis at TCA had designed and been responsible for enterprise software systems for Pratt & Whitney, Analog Devices, General Electric and Lucent Technologies. He also holds a Ph.D. in Supply Chain Management, a M.Sc. in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University, as well as a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and a B.A. in Business Economics from Brown University.

Vasilis Gregoriou Ph.D. – Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Gregoriou is a co-founder of Advent. He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Duke University and has been a Principal Researcher at ICEHT-FORTH. Prior to this and for seven years he was a Senior Scientist at Polaroid Corporation's Research Division in Boston, MA. Dr. Gregoriou has more than 15 years of experience in the US market. He has extensive experience in the technical development of new products and in the management of such activities. He has attended the MBA program at Northeastern University.

Joannis Kallitsis Ph.D. – Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Kallitsis is a co-founder of Advent. He is a Professor of Polymer Science in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Patras. He holds a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Patras and he has conducted post-doctoral research at the Max-Planck Institute for Polymer Research at Mainz, Germany and BASF Corporation.

Alexandros Moukas - Director
Mr. Moukas is a Co-founder of Velti (AIM symbol VEL). He is also a co-founder and was previously Chief Scientist of strategic sourcing provider Frictionless Commerce Inc. (FCI). An MIT Media Lab graduate, Mr. Moukas holds an M.S. from MIT in intelligent agents for information discovery and dynamic resource allocation, an M.S. in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and a B.S. in Business Administration & Computer Information Systems from the American College of Greece.

Christos Kartalis - Director
Mr. Kartalis is the CEO of Systems Synlight SA, a leading defence and energy contractor in Greece and a board of directors member of Germanos SA. He holds a diploma from the Ploesti Technical University for Petroleum and Gas Engineering (Chemistry Department) in Romania.

Jiannis Drenogiannis - Director
Mr. Drenogiannis is the President and CEO of Etpa-Provoli Labels S.A. Etpa Provoli in one of the leading label converter and printing companies in Greece.

Stylianos Neophytides Ph.D. – Director and Director of Research
Dr. Neophytides is a co-founder of Advent. He is also a Director of Research at FORTH-ICEHT. His research interests lie in the area of heterogeneous catalysis, applications of FTIR and X-ray spectroscopies in catalysis and electrocatalysis, electrochemistry, PEM and Solid Oxide fuel cells.
